Sonalika DI-55 HDM Sikander has 4 cylinder naturally aspirated engine with 4087 CC displacement which can produce about 55 hp at 2000 engine rated RPM. Tractor has dual clutch option with 280 mm diameter. Tractor produces 230 Nm torque at 1200 engine RPM. Tractor is available in two types of transmission options: 8 Forward and 2 reverse (in DI-55 tractor) and 12 Forwards and 12 reverse (in DI-55 HDM). Tractor has 65 litres fuel tank. Tractor is available in two types of sub models: Sonalika DI-55 Sikander and Sonalika DI-55 HDM Sikander, in HDM tractor there is 12F + 12R transmission option whereas in simple DI model there is only 8F + 2R transmission option apart from this there is difference of overall dimension which is mentioned below in overall table. To get maximum output in low fuel consumption it is always necessary to know about correct implement combination for tractor because by selecting the correct implement there will be no overload on tractor’s engine which saves fuel and provides long life to engine. Here is the company recommended implement table which should be used whiles choosing implement for the tractor:
Implement Selection for Sonalika DI 55
Implement | Size of implement | No. of tynes/dics/blades | Recommended Engine RPM | Recommended gear | PTO & Rotor RPM |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Reversible MB Plough | 2 to 2.3 feet | 2 bottom | 1400 to 1500 | L3 & H1 | |
Rotavator | 8 feet | 54 blades | 1670 | L1 & L2 | 540/180 |
Cultivator (spring loaded) | 9 feet | 13 tynes | 1600 to 1800 | L4 & H1 | |
Disc harrow | 7 feet | 18 disc with 550 to 600 mm dia of each disc | 1600 to 1800 | L4 & H1 | |
Straw reaper | 5.9 to 6.9 feet cutter bar | 1667 | L1 & L2 | ||
Bailer | with pick up width 450 to 520 mm | 1667 | L1 & L2 | 540 |
In cold condition there are different rules for operating tractor which should be followed to increase tractor’s life and performance.
1. The first thing is to add calcium chloride solution to water before water ballasting which protect tyres’ life and also protect tyres from wear & tear.
About 600 gram calcium chloride should be mixed with 1 kg of water in extreme cold condition to avoid freezing of water.
Here is a table to better understand water ballasting in Sonalika tractors according to tyre size:
Water Ballasting
Rear tire size | Water in litres |
---|---|
12.4*28 | 160 litres |
13.6*28 | 180 litres |
14.9*28 | 190 litres |
16.9*28 | 200 litres |
16.9*30 | 210 litres |
2. The second thing is to maintain the amount of anti freeze in radiator to avoid of freezing of water in extreme cold condition which can protect water pump of radiator and engine performance also. The amount of anti freeze depends temperature of environment, to better understand about it here is a table of maintaining %age of anti freeze:
Anti freeze amount
Temperature range | Antifreeze %age |
---|---|
0 to -3 °C | 10 % |
-3 to -8 °C | 20 % |
-8 to -16 °C | 30 % |
-16 to -25 °C | 40 % |
-25 to -37 °C | 50 % |
-37 to -51 °C | 60 % |
