Zetor 5511 tractor has 4 cylinder naturally aspirated liquid cooled engine with 3119 CC displacement which can produce about 55 to 60 HP at 2200 engine rated RPM. Tractor has 70 liters fuel tank capacity which results tension free long working hours. Tractor has double dry clutch with 10 forwards + 2 reverse gear options. Just like other Zetor models of that time this tractor was also fully feature loaded tractor i.e. heavy duty and highly reliable engine with low fuel consumption, double clutch with many gear speeds, multiple PTO options at that time, hydraulic brakes and multiple hydraulic lift & sensing options etc. These are features are not seem any other tractor at that time and even today also it difficult to find a single tractor which can be compared with this tractor in case of features and reliability. After Zetor 5511, Zetor 5711 and then Zetor 5911 (HMT 5911) tractors were launched in market. These tractors are almost similar to each other in case of looks, features and even in HP also. Before 1971 many Zetor 2011, 3011, 4011, 5511 and 5711 tractors were imported and after that Zetor had technical collaboration with Indian company HMT to make tractors with each other. Choosing the Right Lubrication Oil for Your Zetor Tractor: A Comprehensive Guide
Maintaining your Zetor tractor is crucial for its longevity and optimal performance. One essential aspect of tractor maintenance is ensuring that you use the correct lubrication oil for various components. Different parts of your tractor require specific lubricants to operate smoothly and withstand various weather conditions. In this article, we will discuss the recommended lubrication oil grades for different parts of your Zetor tractor.
Engine Lubrication: The engine is the heart of your tractor, and choosing the right lubrication oil is essential for its proper functioning. Zetor recommends using SAE 10W30 oil during the summer months. This grade offers excellent viscosity characteristics, ensuring proper lubrication in high-temperature conditions. However, during the winter season, when the temperature drops, it is advisable to switch to SAE 10W20 oil. This grade has better low-temperature fluidity, allowing for easy engine startups in cold weather.
Transmission Lubrication: For the transmission system, Zetor recommends using SAE 90 oil. The transmission is responsible for transferring power from the engine to the wheels, and using the correct lubricant ensures smooth gear shifting and reduces wear on the transmission components.
Air Cleaner Lubrication: To keep your tractor’s air cleaner functioning optimally, Zetor suggests using SAE 10W30 oil during the summer and SAE 10W20 oil during the winter. Properly lubricating the air cleaner components enhances their filtration efficiency and ensures clean air intake for the engine.
Power Steering: If your Zetor tractor is equipped with power steering, Zetor recommends using OL N2 oil. Power steering systems rely on hydraulic pressure to assist with steering, and OL N2 provides the necessary lubrication and protection for these components.
Portals: The portals in your Zetor tractor require SAE 90 oil for lubrication. Portals are responsible for transmitting power from the transmission to the wheels, and using the recommended oil grade ensures smooth operation and reduced friction.
Grease: Zetor specifies the use of LITOL 24 grease for various lubrication points on your tractor. Grease is commonly used in applications such as bearings, joints, and pivot points. LITOL 24 offers excellent lubrication properties and helps prevent wear and corrosion.
Mechanical Steering: For tractors equipped with mechanical steering systems, Zetor recommends using SAE 80 oil. This grade provides adequate lubrication to the steering components, ensuring smooth and responsive steering operation.
Fuel Injection Pump: The fuel injection pump is a critical component in your tractor’s engine system. Zetor recommends using SAE 10W30 oil during the summer and SAE 10W20 oil during the winter to lubricate the fuel injection pump. These oil grades ensure proper lubrication and protection against wear for this essential component.
Brake Oil: To maintain the performance and safety of your tractor’s braking system, Zetor recommends using Synthol 130 HD brake oil. This high-quality brake oil provides reliable lubrication and heat resistance, ensuring efficient braking performance under various operating conditions.
Conclusion: Using the correct lubrication oil for different parts of your Zetor tractor is vital for optimal performance, longevity, and safety. Following Zetor’s recommendations regarding oil grades for each component will ensure smooth operation, reduced wear, and protection against extreme temperatures. Regularly checking and maintaining the lubrication levels in your tractor will go a long way in keeping it running at its best. Always consult your tractor’s manual and seek professional advice if you have any doubts or specific requirements regarding lubrication oil selection.
