Correct method for water ballasting of tractor:
Before understanding the procedure, lets firstly understand that why there is need of water ballasting in tractor?
The answer is simple to wheel slippage in field when tractor is pulling some implement or heavy load.
Temperature also plays a major role in water ballasting i.e. if temperature is normal then normal water is recommended for ballasting but if temperature is low then mixture of calcium chloride and water is recommended for ballasting (0.6 kg calcium chloride per liter water) which will protect your tiers. For example if temperature is below -50 °C then this mixture will be very helpful for tyer protection.
It is always recommended to fill 75% of whole tire and 25% of air for the best result. The table given below represents the information about the exact amount of water according to tyer size:
