History of Sonalika tractor company
Sonalika tractor company was founded in year 1995 as International Tractor Limited, in the beginning company used to manufactured tractors designed by CMERI (Central Mechanical Engineering & Research Institute). In the beginning company used Simpson engine in their tractors then later shifted to other engines.
- In year 2000, there was joint venture between Renault & Sonalika International and started to manufacture Renault tractor under Renault Sonalika Limited as name of Renault Ceres, but these tractors are manufactured for very low time. Solis and Ceres tractors were build based Renault tractor and exported to Europe & Australia.
- In year 2000, Renault owned 20% interest in Sonalika then later increased to 60% but later Renault was purchased by Class in year 2003 returned 20% to Sonalika.
- In year 2005, Yanmar purchased 12% interests in Sonalika.

According to Sonalika’s official website Company sell their tractors over more than 140 countries.
- In year 2009, Landini Solis tractors were launched in South Africa and later a joint venture was set up with TAK tractor in Nigeria ( according to which TAK imported, set up sonalika tractors and sold with TAK brand name).
- In year 2011, Company set up a joint venture with Apache company of Argentina and started to sell their tractors.
- In year 2012, Company set up a joint venture with Montana Agriculture of Brazil and assembly plants were set up in Brazil & Germany and started to sell tractor under Montana Solis.
- In year 2015, company announced to launch their tractors in America under Worldtrac series tractors and in same year company decided to relaunch Belarus tractors in India made by Sonalika & Belarus (MTZ) but these tractors were never launched by the Sonalika.
- In year 2022, Company launched their CRDS tractors in India (such as Sonalika Tiger 65 CRDS full).
